I've downloaded DraftSight but the drawing area is covered with alternate light and dark bands of fuzz (trying to avoid a rude word). Any clues as to why? Thanks |

Try cleaning your monitor screen? LoL
I've got DraftSight running on three different computers (one of which is a laptop) and there is no "fuzz". Bad install? Is there a REPAIR option for DraftSight? Could it be video card related? |

I've had EasyCAD, LibreCAD, A9CAD, and ProgeCAD all running ok. EasyCAD would be my choice. EasyCAD is £240 (I might pay up), otherwise ProgeCAD looks as tho it will probably do what I need. I had AutoCAD but it was slow - it's a massive program - I suspect a lot of disk swapping - and I only paid £20 for it on-line so I was a bit wary about it. I've now deleted it. Only DraftSight has the drawing area obliterated with rubbish - and I did download the latest revision today but no improvement. I'll delete it from my machine and download a completely new copy. |

I deleted the old program and downloaded a new copy - still the same. Maybe there is some interaction with my video card. Thanks anyway |

Didn't see a thing.
What are the specs on your computer? I have DraftSight loaded on a four year old laptop (core 2 duo 2.53GHz) running Vista Business 32-bit. My laptop has 2GB of RAM. Edited by John Connor - 27.Jul.2012 at 13:08 |

I don't see what the processor has to do with how much memory you can install. It depends on your motherboard configuration and specs. WinXP can use 3GB of RAM.
And what about your graphics card or onboard graphics chip? |
