It sounds like there is a software lock on your version of AutoCAD.

you are correct. It was a software lock so had to remove all versions of autocad and reinstall.

Now Autocad crashes on every close out of autocad 2012.. any suggestions???

And what happened to the software lock?  Which program was it for?

Sorry to say it was for ALL my versions of Autocad. We run Autocad 2012, revit and MEP and all versions were locked out. Ran clean sweep on all of them and reinstalled only Autocad 2012 and seems to be working okay, but when I close out, get error message that AutoCad has quit working.......still trying to figure this one out....

Who installed SoftLock in the first place?

Came across this online:

"You might have to delete the license file and re-activate the software.

If the issue persists it could be related to the user permission."

What OS are you running?
