Topic: STL to Solid for inventorPosted: 22.Aug.2012 at 23:21 |

Hi there, my name is Jake im new to this.
I currently have a stl file that was made on solid edge (not by me) but I want to be able to edit it on inventor, I have been able to load it into inventor but i cannot edit the file due to it still being in a mesh state <if that's the right way to describe it I would like to be able to have it in ipt format Is there anyway this can be done? I have searched on the internet for many hours with no luck, any insight to this would be very much appreciated Thanks Jake |

You can save the mesh to IPT. If you need a solid object you may be able (depending on the mesh geometry) to stitch the mesh to a solid.
