Topic: QSAVE Pause Posted: 11.Sep.2012 at 18:54 |
Greetings,
I have a small issue hopefully someone can help with. When Qsave command given, the command shows saving .tmp file, gets to 81% sometimes 63%, it pauses for about 20 seconds then continues with the save. File size doesn't seem to matter. While this is not a huge problem it is just irritating.
Have set incremental saves to varying %'s but it's always the same. The way it's acting I'm thinking there's something to be set in Win 7 that is causing this, based on, the first time Qsave, it goes as normal then any subsequent saves we're back to the pause issue.
System: Dell Mobile Workstation M6600, SSD drives, 16 gig Ram, NVIDIA 3000M w/ 2gig Win 7 Pro 64 bit ACAD 2013 in Building Design Suite.
Any Ideas?
Thanks, Don

Is this a networked computer?

It is networked through a router for Internet and mail and to a backup machine but all CAD files and programs are local stand-alone.

Hello Don,
Have you tried the legacy 'save' command?
Best,

Well, that works like a saveas command now in 2013. I did try it, and it's still the same. After I open the drawing, whether I edit or not, the first save is fine, but any subsequent qsave or save has that momentary delay at 81%
Thanks, Don

Yes ?
Actually VBA is no longer installed with ACAD 13, Apparently it's a standalone now. Anyway I have some vba add-ons installed and they work fine.
VBA is getting over my head, I'm an old fart that used/uses LISP
