Hi Everyone, hope I can get some help on this one...
Is there a way to export from Inventor to 2D with each detail on its own layer? Hope this makes sense....

To start, I have a job designed in Inventor 10. The deliverable is in 2D AC.
Simple enough except the requirement is that in the assembly dwg every detail must be on its own layer group. For example if I pick an visible edge of detail 1 it has to be on det 1 object layer...same with det 1  hidden lines. Basically, pick any line in the dwg and you will know what part it is.  Or, for example, if I freeze all layers except det 2, then only det 2 is view-able in the dwg.
 All line types are common.
Right now in 2D I paste each detail in the layout (this brings in the layer group for that detail) then I have to change that det's lines to that group in every view....very time consuming

Wheres the sanity???
