Is there a process in autoCad MEP to convert pdf to dwg, or do I have to go to some 3rd party software?

You'll have to find a third-party application.  Despite what some people tell you these programs don't work all that well.  They're fine if you don't really have to do any editing or very little editing.  You'll find working with a converted drawing to be a pain in the neck.
