hi all,

Need quick help, my cad settings went completely wrong…

I’ve used to use a lot ID command in paper space to check coordinates of the object in model space, but from now on I need to go to model space through viewport to extract X,Y,Z. Each time I check coordinates it gives me x,y,z values related to 0,0,0 at paper space

Any suggestions very welcome

Thanks

chris

Hello, check if your UCS in your viewport when you open it is set on General and not on an UCS with a setting OK for the configuration of your viewport.
There is an interesting Block right here in the CAD Block library interesting for you : VertID.dwg wich is writing X an Y coordinates automaticaly when you insert it ( or at least the first that you insert is not working but the 2nd , 3rd etc... yes ). You should try it.
I have done an updated version of it includind the Z location, the Z automatic text is not working but it's still of a good use, ask for it if needed.
