   Hello there,	I'm new to AutoCad and still figuring things out. I'm stuck on what is the difference between a Block and a WBlock. Wouldn't it just be easier to use WBlocks all the time? When do you need a Block?

	Hello jhuerta, you can use blocks inside a file or copy/paste that bloc to an other file. If you create a Wblock, then you will create an other file just for that block. It's not a problem using "simple" blocks instead of Wblocks. The problem of "simple" blocks is when you use them in different files and you want to update an existing block inside two different files; then you will have to explode a copy of the block to be copy/paste inside the other file and re-define it with the same name, insertion point, rotation, scale. You can also use Xref blocks ( ask for more if needed ). Tell us more of your blocks use test... P.S. I'm new to AutoCAD 2012 ( from 2008 ). 	Hello This Is Rohit Trivedi. This is your answer. Block Can be used within the drawing .in which you had created a block. But in Wblock you can use the same in multiple drawing. Ok??

	thank you, this was help ful. Also playing around with the Wblocks, if your block has more than one layer to it, when transfered to another file all those layers come with it to. I don't know if you already knew this but I thought it was interesting.
