In Autocad I created some transparent hatch patterns which show up fine, but my only problem is that when I close the drawing and open it back up the settings I have set to my transparent hatch pattern seems to go away and has to be reset. Is there anyway to fix this so that when I close my drawing the transparency setting won't get lost?

Maybe try TRANSPARENCYDISPLAY set to 1 - or is is 0 ? - just use the opposite to what you currently have!
