The Autodesk fiscal year runs from February 1 through January 31. So we just completed FY13 and are now in FY14. Looking at the number of new, updated, and graduated/retired technology previews as documented on What's New, I see that FY13 was the second most active year yet for Autodesk Labs.

Activity

If history is any indication, you can expect similar technology preview activity on Autodesk Labs this fiscal year. As Shaan Hurley and I mentioned in our AU 2012 class, technology previews come from all parts of Autodesk. The level of activity depicted in the graph demonstrates that the divisions at Autodesk are not reluctant to use the Labs process to preview their technologies. Thanks to the Autodesk Labs community for making our technology previews work. Your experience does indeed shape the future of our technology.

Getting trendy is alive in the lab.
