I am not a complete air-head I promise, but the book I bought (AutoCAD 2009 & AutoCAD LT 2009 Bible by: Ellen Finkelstein) doesn't explain any of the following questions, or at least I can't find them anywhere, and believe me, I have searched from cover to cover. I'm using AutoCAD LT 2009 by the way: - Everytime I open AutoCAD LT 2009 to start a new drawing, or edit an existing one... I have to change the dimension style, and the text style. It's so annoying to have to change it EVERYTIME I open a drawing!! Even if I work on something, save it, close it, and then re-open it a few seconds later without ever closing AutoCAD... I still have to open the Dimension Style and change it again. Is there anyway I can save it the way I want it or make it the 'default' of all drawings so that I can open and edit drawings without having to change the Dimension Style every time??
- This question is similar to the previous... I'm having the same problem, only with my layout tabs. Everytime I go to the 'layout' tab to view or plot a drawing... I have to go through the page setup manager. Is there a way to save my plot/layout settings so that I can use the same plot/layout settings on varies drawings, and not have to go through the page setup manager each time?
Sorry I typed an encyclopedia. This is my last question. I promise.
- Everytime I open a drawing I have to re-make my layers. Is there a way to save a set of layers so I can somehow import them into whatever drawing I'm working with? I'm so sick of having to re-make them. It's such a waste of time.
I appreciate any responses.. Even if you only answer one question.. Heck, even if you ask a question and don't answer mine. I'll take anything. Haha. Thanks so much for your time, and I hope to read your responses soon.

All settings and preset date can be stored in the template drawing (the principle is the same as e.g. in Word).
You can pick your own template (save as DWT file) or modify the default ACAD.DWT or ACADISO.DWT. These files can be found in your local user folder - e.g.:
c:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2009\R17.2\enu\Template\
