I'm new in using Plant 3D and just wonder if it is realiy necessary to buy another software Vault Collaboration from AutoDesk for multiple users on one single project?  Or, can P3D be running in a similar way without Vault?  Please advise.

This would be a great question to post on the AUGI Plant 3D forum.  The Autodesk Discussion forums may also have a Plant 3D board as well.  Unfortunately the Autodesk site is down for maintenance as I'm writing this, so you'll need to look that link up yourself.  But either forum will probably get you an answer more quickly than here.
