The other day I posted a picture on Facebook that showed me wearing a fake pair of Google Glasses. The fake Google Glasses were grabbed from thingiverse and 3D printed by Engineer of Applied Innovation, Evan Atherton.

Along with colleagues Arthur Harsuvanakit and Charlott Vallon, Evan works under the guidance of Director of Strategic Innovation, Maurice Conti. In addition to their own projects, they take on tasks at the behest of Carl Bass. Although Carl designs and fabricates himself, he has more ideas than spare time as dictated by his CEO duties.

One of Evan's own projects is an R2-D2 Dome.

If you have 7 seconds to spare, check out Evan's video
.

Evan is using Autodesk Fusion 360 to reproduce the robot character from Star Wars. His project files can be found at:

Evan's job is a combination of fun and putting of software's capabilities to the test.

Re-creation and recreation are alive in the lab.
