I work at our offices in San Francisco. Autodesk Labs is part of the Office of the CTO, but our offices worldwide are a mixture of employees from various divisions.

  • Design, Lifecycle, & Simulation
  • Finance / Enterprise Information Services
  • Global Customer Support & Operations
  • Human Resources / Corporate Real Estate, Facilities, Travel, Safety, and Security
  • Information Modeling & Platform Products Group
  • Industry Strategy & Marketing
  • Legal / Government Affairs / Corporate Development
  • Media & Entertainment
  • Office of the Chief Technology Officer
  • Reputation, Consumer, & Education
  • Worldwide Sales/Services

In San Francisco we have employees spread out among The Landmark building, the Steuart Tower, and Pier 9.

The Landmark

  • I happen to be on the second floor of The Landmark building.

A nice touch on our floor is that our elevators have the schematics as printed wallpaper.

The second floor is currently home to employees who work in:

    • Autodesk Gallery
    • Office of the CTO
    • Global Customer Support Organization
    • Design, Lifecycle, & Simulation
    • Sales
  • Autodesk also has offices on the fourth floor of the Landmark building.

I used to be on the fourth floor before I relocated downstairs. The fourth floor is currently home to employees who work in:

    • Information Modeling & Platform Products Group
    • Media & Entertainment
    • Sales
  • Autodesk started out in The Landmark building on the fifth floor.

My office was on the fifth floor when I was the software development manager for Buzzsaw. The fifth floor is currently home to employees who work in:

    • Reputation, Consumer, and Education
    • Enterprise Information Services
    • Legal
    • Corporate Real Estate, Facilities, Travel, Safety, and Security

The Steuart Tower

Autodesk has recently expanded its offices in San Francisco to include The Steuart Tower in addition to The Landmark building.

  • We have offices on the second floor.

The second floor is currently home to employees who work in:

    • Finance
    • Human Resources
    • Information Modeling & Platform Products Group
  • We have offices on the third floor.

The third floor is currently home to employees who work in:

    • Industry, Strategy, and Marketing
    • Sales
  • We also have offices on the fourth floor.

    • Information Modeling & Platform Products Group
    • Design, Lifecycle, & Simulation

A fun part of having offices on the fourth floors of both The Landmark building and the Steuart Tower is that our landlords created a portal to connect the two buildings.

I have blogged about this magic portal before: Autodesk One Market Office: A Window to the Past.

Pier 9

Our latest addition is space at a new building located only a few blocks away from The Landmark/Steuart Tower: Pier 9.

  • Except for one small law office, we have the right side of the place to ourselves.

Though their primary offices are on the second floor of The Landmark like mine, some of colleagues from the Office of the CTO hang out there to make sure of the fabrication equipment. The first and second floors are currently home to employees who work in:

    • Reputation, Consumer, and Education
    • Instructables
    • Office of the CTO Life Sciences

Thanks to Senior Occupany Planner, Astrid Ochoa, and Senior Facilities Manager, Heather Gass, for the information of who sits where.

Flooring is alive in the lab.
