You edit a drawing, go to close it and AutoCAD doesn't even ask if you want to save it?  That sounds serious.

When did this first start happening?

Does a dialog box appear onscreen?  If "no" do you see anything on the command line itself?

Is this happening in every drawing you work on, or just a particular one?

By any chance is your version of AutoCAD 2013 on Subscription?  If so, why not update it to 2014?  But if not, are you certain you have installed all available Service Packs and Hotfixes for it?  Check your installation and then go HERE to check and download files as needed.

Have you run an AUDIT on the file you're working on?

Have you PURGEd the file recently?

Do you have scale list bloat?

Have you recently installed new virus protection software?

Have you recently run any type of Registry cleaner?

You have an unusual problem that may be difficult to trouble shoot.  If all else fails you could try and see if this is unique to your computer or if it happens on another.  If it's just happening on your machine, then it's probably something to do with your version of AutoCAD.  If it happens with this file on another computer then there's likely something wrong with the file.

You need to do a bit more hunting and get back to us.

Dave.

No i didn't use the command as you mentioned.

Nope, What is meant by purge. I havn't go through basic yet now.

No idea about scale list bloat ? Can you clearly explain abt this?

No, But it seems some updation done from my admin side,

No.

And other colleague Working on 2011, and she has the same problem,

I'm using '14 now, so far nothing happened like before.

BUT MOSTLY HAPPENED DURING WHEN I AM ERASING SOMETHING. .  BUT AM SURE I AM SELECTING THE PARTICULAR THING AND ERASING.

If you do not see your whole drawing while working in model space do a Zoom > All or a Zoom > Extents.  Now do you see the whole drawing?

Purging a drawing eliminates unreferenced objects such as linetypes, multileaders, layers, etc.  To do this one must use the PURGE command.  There are two versions of the command.  The first is PURGE and it will bring up a dialog box.  The second is the command line version -PURGE (notice the dash?).  I recommend using the second version and first purging REGAPPS.  Then repeat the command and do a Purge > All.

Audit is a command used to check the drawing database for errors.  This is usually run after one has purged a drawing.

It seems there is a whole lot about AutoCAD that you do not know.  Is there a CAD Manager?

If you are not seeing a dialog box when it comes to saving your drawing then maybe the system variable FILEDIA has been set to "0" instead of "1".  I would check if I were you.  Type FILEDIA at the command line and AutoCAD will report what the setting is.  Change it if necessary.

Is there any chance you are working in a paper space layout using viewports?

If all else fails you may have to run the REPAIR option.
