The Alameda Boys & Girls Club is located near where I live. The club is a place that provides activities and experiences that enrich the lives of young people in my own backyard. The quality of life we all enjoy is due, in part, to the club’s sustained attention to the changing needs of today’s youth. I am happy to make a charitable dontation each year which Autodesk matches through its employee gift matching program. In June my wife, Sheryl, and I attended a fundraiser where the theme was Giants or A's. Male attendees were instructed to wear tuxedos with either orange or green ties to indicate their team preference. Females wore fancy dresses with gloves. Sheryl and I are casual Giants fans, so we picked orange. Alas the San Francisco Giants did not make the post season this year, but the Oakland A's did. If only we could go back in time.
