Hi, I'm using AutoCAD 2014 through Parallels 9 and Windows 8 on my iMac (with Mavericks). I've lost the ability to pan since upgrading yesterday from Parallels 8, Windows 8, and OSX 10.8 (Mountain Lion). I've lost the ability to pan since the upgrade without right clicking and choosing it. It wasn't great before, having to hold down the "command" button on my mac keyboard but I got used to it quickly. I also can't have anything selected when I right click to pan. Crazy! Is anyone else dealing with Mac/Parallels issues? Also, I'm using a Mac magic mouse, but I also have a Logitech scroll mouse which I hauled out and tried with the same results. I just prefer the Mac.

Wow, guess I didn't expect that... I did do research, maybe not enough for your standards John, but like they say, once you've gone Mac, you'll never go back. For me, there was little choice.I was advised Parallels over Bootcamp (if I didn't want to buy a Windows based computer, which I didn't, but this isn't the forum for that) and that having Parallels running Windows was the same as having Windows, only better because I didn't have to give up all my Mac stuff. I looked but probably not far enough to find someone using AutoCAD with Parallels. My instructor-to-be told me he had students using Parallels with no problems but I didn't actually chat with any of them (I'm doing online studies). I was going to get AC for Mac but he advised against it, prompting the Parallels investigation in the first place. Perhaps I should have joined this forum then and asked but I'm not much a forum kinda guy, not much spare time as it is. 

Yes, my instructor should be the "go to" person here but when I asked him some of the above questions, he replied with 'what it should be' instead of 'what it is' and I felt I might get a better response through a forum and not bug him. Yeah, I know, he should be the guy to bug... He's on Windows himself like you, and it didn't sound from his answers like he had any real experience on the matter so I expanded my horizon.
