That's called kerning.
In typography, kerning (less commonly mortising) is the process of adjusting the spacing between characters in a proportional font.
There is no way to do that in DText.
"AutoCAD 2012 (and higher) supports TrueType as well as its proprietary SHX fonts, and
offers kerning control in multiline text objects. Kerning enables you
to adjust the distance between characters in a range of text, tightening
or loosening them to enhance readability or fit.
AutoDesk provides 15 formatting codes to control paragraph attributes
including color, text height, character width, typeface, alignment and
obliquing. Among these codes, the "\T" option controls character
spacing, allowing you to apply kerning ranging from 0.75 to 4 times the
default letter spacing."
