Inventor_2d_to_3d

On Friday I updated the 2D to 3D Tool for Inventor. This free technology preview allows you to quickly create 3D models of 2D-designed parts with an add-in utility for Inventor software. Activated as part of file import, the 2D to 3D Tool automatically transforms drawing views into orthogonal sketches, significantly streamlining the preparation of 2D views for 3D uses.

So login to the Autodesk Feedback Portal and check it out:

The team provided me with an updated Inventor 2014 installer. The original one relied on both Inventor 2013 and Inventor 2014 being installed on the same system. This update opens up the opportunity for feedback from a wider audience of Inventor 2014 users.

We look forward to hearing from you. You can reach us in a variety of ways:

The technology preview will operate until December 21, 2014.

Expanded feedback opportunities are alive in the lab.
