Hi Im new here.
I have just simple short question for now: Is it possible to turn the scale in Draftsight off?
When I draw for example square and add dimension (quote) I do not want the program to calculate the scale. I want to add the dimension manually. I ask for work without scale - a can write the value in ABC000 box  then it doesnt show the tolerances (nicely with upper and subscript) or destroy the entity and write the dimension. So is there a way where when I draw something and add dimension - I can change the value in the box called Scale (Now its gray).

Thanks in advance

CAD programs don't calculate scale when objects are being drawn.  If you are doing it correctly you are drawing your objects full size.  The dimensions you use are of your own choosing they are not arbitrarily selected by the program.

You can't turn it (the auto-dimension) off but you can override it via the Properties palette.

In this example the 3.3449 is the original dimension automatically created by DraftSight.  See the 0.00 with the red line through it?  The box to the right will normally be empty.  To override the original dimension type your new dimension in this box.

It is generally speaking NOT a good idea to override a dimension especially if you share your drawings with others.
