Q - question

Arrowheads or other parts of dimensions are not printed.

A - answer Arrowheads (ticks), extension or dimension lines, or other components of dimensions and leaders are missing on printouts or in plot previews.

There may be various reasons of this problem:

  • The missing dimension part is placed in the DEFPOINTS layer, which is not printed (or in other "non-plotting" layer)
  • The missing dimension part has assigned color (style) that is mapped in the plot style table to an invisible (no-contrast) color; be careful e.g. with "almost" black colors, and with BYBLOCK colors
  • Your dimension uses a custom arrowhad which is domaged or improperly defined
  • You dimension uses annotation scales and the arrow has wrong scale
  • The arrow is just not filled - see FILLMODE
  • It could be also a problem of printer driver - try to plot first to a DWF or PDF file and then print this file on your printer or plotter

Try to explode the complaining dimension and check properties of its individual components.
