Q - question

Easy mirroring of selected objects around their axis/center.

A - answer Using the free add-on utility FlipCen you can easily mirror (flip orientation) of selected objects around their virtual center - vertical or horizontal axis.

Download the LISP application FlipCen from Download, load the VLX file using APPLOAD and run the command FlipCen. Select the objects to mirror and choose whether to mirror them around the vertical axis (flip sides, left/right), or the horizontal axis (flip top/bottom). You can also choose to mirror around both axes, or perform 3D mirroring in the Z-axis. You do not specify the mirror axis - it is inferred automatically. The axis is calculated as a center of the smallest bounding box (rectangle or 3D box).

This add-on can help to create symmetric parts, symbols and building constructs (cubicles, etc).

Version 1.1 adds UCS support.
