Q - question

How to detect DWG files created as an export from Autodesk Revit?

A - answer If you need to identify all DWG drawings in a folder that were saved/exported as drawing sheets from the BIM application Autodesk Revit, you can use the free CADstudio DBXscanRevit application.

The free LISP utility DBXscanRevit scans all DWG files in a given folder (and its subfolders) and generates a report with a list of all DWG files containing a "signature" of Revit, including the name of the original BIM project (RVT). The checked files are not opened individually.

Just appload this utility and start the "DBXscanRevit" command. Browse to the top folder you want to process and click "Save". It will find local DWG files saved from Revit.

You can download DBXscanRevit from Download, see the accompanying TXT file.
