Q - question

How to renumber handles of selected DWG entities?

A - answer Every drawn object in a DWG database has assigned its internal, incremental and unique ID, so called "handle". Common editing commands do not change it afterwards. Through this ID, the object (entity) may have other information attached, e.g. from a SQL database, or relationships with other objects.

If you want - for some reason - change these internal IDs and e.g. change the internal order of entities (a.o. they are displayed in this order by default), you can use the Express Tools command CDORDER. In its dialog, use the option "Handles" and perform any change of order.

You can verify the change e.g. with our LISP utility History.
