Q - question

Originally maximized AutoCAD is restored from Windows taskbar as a window.

A - answer Originally maximized AutoCAD application is after minimizing and restoring from the Windows 8 main task bar opened in a window (not maximized).

This problém occurs when you open multiple drawings in a single AutoCAD session. There are two methods how to workaround this behaviour:

  1. In the AutoCAD command line, change the value in the _TASKBAR command to 0. Then you will lose the ability to switch drawings from Windows task bar, but reopening a maximized window will work correctly. You can use the drawing tabs inside AutoCAD to switch drawings.

  2. Do not maximize your AutoCAD window but stretch it manually to your screen size. If you minimize and restore it, your window will open again on the full screen.
