Q - question

How to plot large format drawing on a small format printer?

A - answer Use the following trick to print tiled AutoCAD drawing e.g. A3-size sheet on a A4-size printer or fax.

First 'ePlot' your drawing - plot or publish your drawing to a .DWF format. Start Autodesk Express Viewer or Autodesk DWF Viewer (free CAD viewers, see Download) and in the Print dialog select your output format (print to scale). Choose 'Tile drawing'. Use Display tiles to see the dividing lines between print tiles (there is an automatic overlap and position marks). Then simply print these tiles as separate pages to your small format printer (or fax).
