Q - question

What is the difference in stretching an arc with the square or triangular grip?

A - answer Grip editing of an arc in AutoCAD 2006 offers either the square grip (dragging changes the radius, keeping the endpoints anchored) or the triangular grip (dragging changes the radius, keeping the included angle, endpoints are offset).

Similarly the triangles on the arc endpoints can lengthen the arc in the given direction.
