Q - question

How to set margin (trim) for reference parts in an Inventor drawing?

A - answer In drawing views (IDW/DWG), reference parts are displayed with a given margin. The size of this margin (trim, border, cut-off, crop, overshoot, phantom) can be set in the view properties.

Double-click on the drawing view and in the "Drawing view" dialog go to the "Model status" (Options) tab. Enter the requested margin in the Margin field (Reference data).
