Q - question

Disabled rendering after installation of Revit 2009.

A - answer Non-functional (grayed, inactive) Render icon after the installation of Revit Architecture 2009 can be caused by several reasons:
  1. During the installation (setup) the rendering libraries option was not selected (checked) -- run a repair installation of the current version (build)
  2. The rendering libraries are installed in another - not in the preset folder (c:\Program Files\Revit Architecture 2009\Data\Rendering) -- edit the setting in Revit
  3. Revit has not set the proper FBX file of the material library -- in the Revit.ini file, set the line with a full path:
    MaterialLibraryFiles=c:\Program Files\Revit Architecture 2009\Data\Rendering\assetlibrary_base.fbx
  4. If these steps have not helped, you have probably a PC with an older processor (CPU) which does not support the required instruction set SSE2 (SS2)
