Q - question

How to customize properties displayed in the Properties palette?

A - answer If you want show only specific properties (categories) in the Properties palette (window, panel) and supress all other items, you can use the new Quick properties panel (Ctrl+Shift+P) instead of Properties. The older Properties palette can be customized only programmatically.

The "Quick properties" panel is fully customizable and you can setup which properties are displayed for which object types - use the CUI dialog.

The display mode fo the Quick properties panel is controlled by the variables QPLOCATION and QPMODE.
