Automatically reposition raster images in a drawing to the position defined in the images "World files".

Description

GeoRefImg is a LISP utility for Autodesk® AutoCAD® 2023-2012 (plus Architecture, Mechanical, MEP) which can automatically reposition raster images used in a drawing to the position defined in the images “World files”. World files define geo-position and other parameters of a raster image (TIF, CIT, JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, ECW, SID...).

Start it by typing the GEOREFIMG command. GeoRefImg prompts to select objects (existing images) and then performs the repositioning and scaling controlled by the World files (TFW, JGW, PGW, GFW, BPW, WLD...).

World files are searched in the folders of the original raster file. Use full paths (REFPATHTYPE=2). The additional command WORLDOUT can create a new world file from an existing positioned image.

The GeoRefImg module contains several commands - as documented above. You can start them via the command line.

	Auto-ref	switches on and off the auomatic referencing of images in standard AutoCAD Image commands and in ImagesAttach. Setting is stored between sessions.

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.

You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8.1/10) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

Additional Information

•The rotation defined in the world file (rarely used) is applied only since GeoRefImg version 1.5
•Use the internal Autodesk® AutoCAD® Map and Autodesk® Civil 3D® functionality for georeferencing images (you can use WorldOut)
•License: GEOREFIMG is a free utility by Arkance Systems (CAD Studio).
