Q - question

Animating constraints in Showcase: AdWorkflowHost is unknown.

A - answer An error occurs when attempting to load an Inventor assembly into Autodesk Showcase:

AdWorkflowHost is unknown. Please check your synhub config file.

Please check whether your assembly does not contain adaptive constraints and whether animation/constraints work fine in Inventor. Instead of using a Design Suite workflow try to open the given IAM assembly directly in Showcase - see File > Import. In the import dialog click on the button Settings. Here choose the Conversion setting: "006-1LOD-High".

Then in the section Animation check the option "Create behaviors from constraints". Using the "+" button, transfer individually the names of all important constraints from the Inventor assembly tree (use Copy/Paste on the right mouse button, the names must match exactly). Choose the proper IPJ project file and complete the initial import. Now the constraints should be properly mapped to behaviors in Showcase.
