Beware of the option Disjoin when moving elements in Revit.

The function "Move" (MV) in Revit offers the option "Disjoin" which will break associations of the moved element to other objects in your project. It can be used e.g. to move a wall or pipe that is joined to another element, or to move a hosted element from its current host to a new host. But Move with this option in fact performs a Cut (delete) of the original element and then Pastes it as a new object. This brings important consequences you have to consider before using this option. Moreover, this option setting is stored between sessions so you may use it inadverently for the next Move.

the moved element will have a new ID (database "element number")
elements associated with the moved element will be deleted (most will issue a warning but this may be ignored) - e.g. tags, element-based families, dimensions, keynotes, views
be careful especially when moving Levels - all views associated with this Level will be deleted!

In some cases (worksets), it may be difficult to Undo this operation.
