Q - question

Emboss/engrave text on an Inventor 3D part.

A - answer Autodesk Inventor (R6 and higher) can include texts in the sketch environment. The text (font) outlines are standard closed sketch outlines which can be used for solid modeling.

So you can extrude or subtract 3D objects created from text outlines (embossing and engraving).
