Q - question

HatchOverlap - check for any overlapping hatches in a DWG

A - answer With the freeware utility HatchOverlap you can find and highlight any overlapping hatches in your AutoCAD DWG - both associative and dissociative ones. Is a hatch overlapping another?

Download the HatchOverlap.vlx file from, load it into your AutoCAD session with APPLOAD and type the HATCHOVERLAP command. Select any hatches to inspect or ENTER for all (visible on screen). The command highlights any overlapping hatch areas with thick red outlines:

Zoom around to inspect the overlaps and then press the ENTER key to restore your original drawing erasing the auxiliary red boundaries (outlines in the AUXHATCHOVERLAPBOUNDARIES layer).
