Q - question

Hawk-eye view for your drawings.

A - answer Thanks to an almost forgotten AutoCAD function "Hawk eye" (eagle-eye, falcon-eye) you can get better overview of your DWG drawing.

This functionality was historically embedded in specialized display drivers but later it was included directly in AutoCAD and it is still usable under the command name DSVIEWER. In English versions of AutoCAD you may need to REDEFINE DSVIEWER command. The DSVIEWER command displays a separate Aerial View window, where you can see an overall view of your drawing, the current view/zoom and you can change or scale the view dynamically with your mouse.

NB: DSVIEWER was discontinued in version 2012. Versions 2013-2014 let redefine the obsoleted command, its graphics is no longer updated in 2015.
