How to add the unfold rule name as a drawing note?

To add and automatically updated name of the unfold rule (used to unfold a sheetmetal part) to a drawing of a sheetmetal part, you can use the following procedure. To add labels with parameters of the individual unfold edges, use the function Annotate > Elements > Unfold.

In sheet metal model part (folded) go to iPropertes and on the Custom tab add a new text property (e.g. "UnfoldRule"), as its value enter the text (expression):

=<Sheet Metal Rule>

Exit iProperties.

In the drawing then add a text note, in the Format Text dialog box select Custom Properties - Model in the Type dropdown selection field, and specify your newly added property, e.g. "UnfoldRule".
