Q - question

How to change the default drawing sheet in Inventor?

A - answer If you want to change the default format of the Inventor drawing sheet, you can customize it according to your company standards.

Open the standard drawing sheet and right-click it ("Sheet:1") in the browser tree. Choose "Edit sheet..." in the context menu.

Customize Inventor sheet (CZ version)

In the "Edit Sheet" dialog, choose the requested size (format) and orientation and other parameters. Save the edited template using: Application menu ("I") > Save as > Save copy as template - and name your new template (or rewrite the default template standard.idw or standard.dwg, after you made backup copies).

Newly created sheets will automatically use your new format. Similarly you can change th title block.

For a quick change of the sheet format and orientation you can use the VBA macro described in Lesson #19 on the VBA programming page (in Czech).
