How to disable switching drawings when hovering on the DWG tab thumbnail?

When you hover cursor on the tab with a loaded DWG drawing, AutoCAD displays thumbnails (previews) of the individual drawings and their layouts - when you move cursor over them, the graphics of the whole drawing is also switched in the main drawing window.

This may be a rather performace-demanding operation with large drawings and the switching proces may be slow or even fail with slower graphics and limited memory. So if you want to switch off this functionality, set the system variable FILETABTHUMBHOVER to 0.

The previews can be switched off with the FILETABPREVIEW variable - AutoCAD will display a textual list of layouts instead of graphic thumbnails. Or you can completely disable the DWG file tabs (see Options > Display).
