Q - question

How to disable "thick-line" selection preview for window-selection?

A - answer You can setup preview effects for object selection with the command OPTIONS - Options > Selection > Visual effects.

But if AutoCAD does not respond on switching off selection previews and selected objects are always displayed with thick lines, the problem is in the graphics driver. Try its behaviour when you switch off hardware acceleration (see the AutoCAD status bar icon).
