Q - question

How to extrude a profile along an arc or curve?

A - answer If you want to create a 3D solid by extruding (sweeping) a closed 2D profile along an arc or polyline, you can either use the command EXTRUDE with a proper rotation of the profile perpendicular to the extrusion path, or the newer, more convenient command SWEEP, which rotates the selected profile automatically to the sweeping path.

The SWEEP command also offers an option to create a 3D surface or solid.
