How to model a sphere in Revit?

A - answer For the creation of simple 3D geometric solids, it is best to use the in-place mass editor - that is, Massing & Site > Conceptual Mass > In-place Mass.

In the case of a sphere or cylinder, just draw a control circle and then use the Form > Create Form context ribbon to convert it to a cylinder or sphere - you can switch the creation mode using the two somewhat indistinct icons at the bottom of the screen:
