Q - question

How to open a local .F3Z file in Fusion 360?

A - answer A file with the extension F3Z is a zipped package of a Fusion 360 assembly model (an archive), containing one or more models in the standard .F3D format.

To open the .F3Z file, first upload it to one of your projects in the Fusion 360 Data panel (Upload). In the Job Status window, you can follow the process of incremental uploading. After all documents of the archive is loaded, the panel will show the main assembly and its individual linked F3D components (models). From there, you can open any of them in the editor.
