Q - question

How to open a .PRZ file in Inventor or Fusion 360?

A - answer A 3D model stored in the .PRZ file format can be opened also in the CAD/CAM applications Autodesk Inventor and Fusion 360, despite they do not support importing these type of files by default.

First decompress the compressed file PRZ (e.g. from SolidCAM). Do so e.g. by pressing Ctrl+PgDn in Total Commander, or by renaming it to the .ZIP extension temporarily.

From this unzipped archive, then import the individual files in the directly supported file formats .PRT, .SLDPRT, .SLDASM and others.
