How to search/replace tabs in texts?

The standard AutoCAD search function - FIND - cannot find control characters in drawing texts. So you cannot use it to replace TABs.

You can use the add-on utility CADstudio srxText (see Download) to perform search and replacements in any combinations of texts and conditions.

Specifically, to replace TABs e.g. by line feeds (new lines), use the following command:

SRXTEXT R \t \P {enter} {enter} D

You can also use the LISP function:

(srxtext "Regular" "\t" "\\P" "All")
