Q - question

How to set Inventor model appearance (permanently)?

A - answer Display appearance settings for Inventor 3D models (textures, invisible edges, shading...) can be controlled either individually per document, or globally for all models - permanently for the whole application.

This setting can be changed in the "Application Options" dialog (the application menu "I"), on the Display tab, in the field Appearance. Here you can toggle the option "Use document settings" or "Use application settings" and in the application mode use the "Settings" button to setup the required model appearance (also for new and imported models).
