How to set output folder for AutoCAD plot to file?

A - answer Since AutoCAD version 2019 you can preset the target output folder (directory) for the AutoCAD PLOT command by setting the variable PLOTTOFILEPATH (undocumented). All subsequent plottings will go to this folder.
