Q - question

How to split a multi-sheet Inventor drawing to individual files?

A - answer If you need to split your multi-sheet drawing in Inventor into the individual separate single-sheet drawings, you can use the VBA macro CADstudio SplitDrawing.

Load the file (project) SplitDrawing.ivb in the Inventor VBA Editor (Load project) and then in the ribbon Tools > Options > Macros run the macro "Module1.SplitDrawing".

SplitDrawing splits the current drawing document into the individual drawings named as the pattern (example): MyDrawing_Sheet1_MyModelA.idw, MyDrawing_Sheet2_MyModelB.idw, etc.

SplitDrawing can be downloaded from Download

You can also use the iLogic rule SplitDrawing available on CAD Studio's Helpdesk.
