Q - question

Inventor shell - minimal thickness.

A - answer When creating a part shell (3D Model > Modify > Shell) in Inventor or Inventor LT you can specify the requested wall thickness. When no precise solution of the shell geometry exists, you can allow approximation on the More tab.

Shell

Change the option "Mean" to "Never too thin" to ensure the shell walls never go thinner than the specified width. You can also specify a fixed (percentual) tolerance of the shell wall thickness. The option "Never too thin" makes the walls always thicker (or same) than the entered value.
