Q - question

Loading Inventor 3D model into 3ds max.

A - answer Autodesk 3ds Max (Design) can directly read IPT and IAM files of Inventor 3D models. In older Max versions this import was available with a plug-in module.

Up to the version 3ds Max 2010, there was a requirement for Inventor to be installed on the same machine. Since version 3ds Max Design 2011 you can directly open Inventor parts and assemblies (including surfaces and materials), with any Inventor installation. Your digital prototyping workflows are now simplified.
